Day 1: Perth - Kalbarri

Our coastal loop adventure begins with a walk along the stunning Greenhead Three Bays Walks. After lunch at Dynamite Bay, part of the Three Bays Walk, we travel up Indian Ocean Drive for some stunning coastal views.  On the way to Geraldton, we stop at the Hutt Lagoon Pink Lake, a must-see attraction just outside of town. Then it's on to the stunning coast of Kalbarri at the Natural Bridge and then we take a leisurely walk along Castle Cove. Enjoy an overnight stay in the sleepy seaside town of Kalbarri, where the Murchison River flows out into the Indian Ocean. Meals: n/a. Accomm: Kalbarri Edge Resort Private or Shared Studio Rooms (with ensuite) or similar alternative. Driving Distance: 575km. Hike Distance: 2km.

Day 2: Kalbarri - Monkey Mia

Start early to catch a glimpse of the Murchison Gorge, Nature's Window, and the Kalbarri Skywalk in Kalbarri National Park, where water has carved its way through sandstone. Witness bright pops of colour here during the wildflower season (spring). Visit the well-known Billabong Roadhouse for lunch and refreshments (at guests' expense), an iconic landmark that has been serving visitors to Western Australia since 1962. From here, we visit the remarkable Shell Beach, and take a stroll along a beach made entirely of tiny shells. At Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort, we will stay right on the beach with resident dolphins living close by, within the World Heritage Listed area known as Shark Bay. You can hire a Kayak and go for a paddle (optional extra), relax on the beach or at the resort, or look for turtles, dugongs, emus, and kangaroos that live here.  Meals: Breakfast. Accomm: RAC Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort Private or Shared Standard Rooms (with ensuite). Options: Didgeridoo Dreaming Night Tour (pre-booking required). Driving Distance: 450km. Hike Distance: 3km. 

Day 3: Monkey Mia - Geraldton

This morning we will meet with the famous Monkey Mia dolphins and get some up close and amazing photos. The Dolphin experience finishes at 9am afterwards you have free time to enjoy the beaches of Monkey Mia or alternatively head out on a wildlife cruise looking at  dugongs, turtles, sharks, sea-snakes, stingrays, sea birds, and fish (at guests own expense, pre bookings required). For customers not going on the cruise we gather at 11am and head to Eagle Bluff to look for sharks and turtles before heading back into Denham to explore the foreshore area and have lunch. Departing Denham at 1.30pm we head for Geraldton with stops at the Overlander Road House and Galena Bridge for a photo opportunity. Upon our arrival at Geraldton after 6-6:30pm, we will spend a final night by the seaside. Meals: Breakfast. Accomm: Hospitality Geraldton Motel Private or Shared Standard Rooms (with ensuite) or similar alternative. Options: Shotover Sailing Cruises (pre-booking required). Driving Distance: 385km. Hike Distance: 1km.

Day 4: Geraldton - Perth

Enjoy the HMAS Sydney Memorial with stunning views of Geraldton. Visit the Point Moore Lighthouse in Geraldton. On to Port Denison with a walk along the foreshore and to the lookout. Then head back along the Indian Ocean road with a stop in the town of Jurien bay with a walk along the Jetty. Then we travel to the lovely little seaside town of Cervantes to our fabulous lunch option at the WA famous Lobster shack, then on to a guided tour through their Lobster factory. On to the amazing Nambung national park to wander around the strange and eerie Pinnacles Desert.  Kick back and relax on the bus for the last stretch, taking in the last views of the scenic countryside before making our way back towards Perth, with drop off starting around 6.30 pm. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch. Driving Distance: 465km. Hike Distance: 1km.

WEATHER:
The weather in Western Australia can fluctuate and be extreme at times. It is not unheard of for temperatures to reach over 40+ degrees Celsius during the day and in the evening the temperature drops dramatically. Please ensure you have checked the average temperatures for the time of year you are travelling and have packed adequate clothing. In the event of rain or inclement weather, your experience will still go ahead, unless contacted by the provider.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • Mandatory Details: Passenger details are required at the time of booking, including date of birth, food allergies, title or gender for rooming configuration, and a contact phone number.
  • Dietary Requirements: While we endeavour to cater to most dietary needs, passengers must inform their booking agent of any specific dietary requirements when booking. There are limited options once the tour departs, so prior notice is essential.
  • Medical Conditions: The tour operator must be notified of any known medical conditions at the time of booking. This is a physically demanding tour requiring a moderate to advanced level of fitness and mobility.
  • Fitness Level: A minimum moderate fitness level is necessary to complete the walks, which range from 1 km to 2 km each day, often over steep rocky sections and in direct sunlight and high humidity. An approximate 4.5km walk is included in this tour. Walks will be conducted at the guide’s discretion for guest safety. A doctor’s certificate is required for participants over 70 years old, submitted at least 30 days prior to travel.
  • Age Restrictions: Children aged 6 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian at all times. The tour is not suitable for infants or children aged 5 and under due to safety requirements and the physical demands of the walks.
  • Solo Travellers: Solo travellers who book separately in a Basic Shared Accommodation (MM4-B) will be paired with another solo traveller in a twin or triplet room, where possible of the same gender but not guaranteed. 
  • Fare Type Options: 
  •     Basic Shared Accommodation (MM4-B) is restricted to Adults only 18+ years and over, as travellers stay in a shared room with shared ensuite. Not suitable for children.
  •     Private Double/Twin Room (MM4-S): For Adults and Children staying in a double or twin room with ensuite and must be purchased by Qty2 people staying together.
  •     Private Single Room (MM4-P): Restricted to Adults only (18+ years old and over) with ensuite.
  • Mobility Considerations: This tour is not suitable for mobility-impaired travellers, including those using wheelchairs, walkers, prams, or strollers.
  • Baggage Limitations: Limited storage space is available on our vehicle. Each traveller may bring 1 x 15 kg travel bag and 1 x 5 kg day bag. Larger suitcases should be stored at your hotel during the tour.
  • Itinerary Variations: Itineraries may change due to seasonal weather conditions, and occasionally sites in the parks may close for cultural or safety reasons or restricted swimming access. We prioritise safety and plan accordingly to ensure the best experience for our guests.
  • Guest Participation: Guests are encouraged to participate in meal preparation, unpacking, and loading luggage into the vehicles. This collaborative effort promotes a relaxed atmosphere, fostering connections among travellers after a day of touring.
